Walk – Dart Estuary Saltmarsh & Reedbeds
Join South Devon National Landscape’s Estuary Officer Nigel Mortimer, a marine biologist, for a reasonably gentle walk following down the top of the western Dart estuary shore, taking in the views down the estuary and down into the Sharpham Marsh Reedbed on a dedicated boardwalk (dogs not allowed within reedbed).
Along the way, we shall discuss the ecology of the estuary, its marshes and mudflats; why they are important to us too and how the Dart Saltmarsh Restoration Project is working within the community to conserve them.
