Join us for the latest in our series of walks aimed at helping people discover more of South Devon National Landscape’s beautiful coastline.

Enjoy a beautiful woodland walk on the outskirts of Kingsbridge, guided by Hannah, a foraging expert, who will guide us in understanding the wonderful mushrooms that our landscapes offers up at this time of year. We will not be consuming any of the mushrooms and safety tips will be shared during this walk.

The walk itself will not be a long one (around 2 miles), but you’ll be on your feet for the whole duration. There are a couple of short steep sections and although a well-walked path, it is peppered with roots and other unevenness. There are no toilets on this route. The nearest toilets and café are in Kingsbridge – a short walk away. Parking in Town Park carpark, West Alvington.

Please bring a bottle of water, good footwear and weather-appropriate clothing (we will be predominantly in woodland). Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.

We are running a minibus for people who don’t have their own transport, with a pick up at Follaton Arboretum, Totnes (by the wooden sign) at 09:45. Booking essential.
