Join us for the latest in our series of walks aimed at helping you discover more about the South Devon National Landscape.
Nicky will be guiding us on this walk, as we step back in time and find out more about the past stories of the landscape around the east side of the mouth of the Dart. This part of the coast is packed full of history – not least the histories of the Froward Battery and the Daymark. This 3-mile walk will be over moderate to strenuous terrain, including some steep sections (up and down) and steps. It uses mostly managed footpaths. Meet at Brownstone NT carpark (fee applies, free with NT membership).
Bring a bottle of water, a snack, good footwear and weather-appropriate clothing. Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome if making your own way there, however if booking our transport option, we are unable to take dogs in the vehicles.
We are running a 7 and a 9-seater van for people who don’t have their own transport, with pick-ups Follaton Arboretum, Totnes (by wooden sign) at 09:35, or Paignton Asda (adjacent to the main entrance) at 10:00.
