Life on the Edge is excited to be partnering with our friends at the National Trust in South Devon to bring you a wonderful afternoon combining a beautiful walk in the stunning South Devon landscape with a nature-inspired writing workshop.
We’ll be joined by the wonderful Alan Ramage who will guide us through writing Haiku poetry.
We’ll create individual pieces, and write a collaborative Haiku which will then be engraved onto a brand new gate that becomes a long-term fixture on the coast path in the Scobbiscombe area. Come and join us for a fun, relaxed and friendly afternoon, and contribute to this new piece of public art. Can’t wait to see you there.
Bring weather-proof clothing and sturdy footwear. The paths are likely to be wet/muddy. The walk will be between 1.5 and 2 hours and does include some inclines. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided for our workshop.
Limited parking is available at the Reading Room/Dolphin pub carpark. We are running a 7 and a 9-seater van for people who don’t have their own transport, with pick-ups at Follaton Arboretum, Totnes at 12:30pm, and Poundwell Street carpark, Modbury at 1:05pm.
Booking essential via Ticketsource.
Unfortunately, we are unable to carry dogs in the leased vehicles, sorry.
Life on the Edge is a Heritage Lottery funded 5-year project of South Devon National Landscape. We aim to work with partners to restore a coastline buzzing with wildlife.
